Chocolate Making Workshop with Narmada - 26th Feb 2012

CHOCOLATES!.. yum.
And after the session yesterday, the girls at LCC, could make them on their own.
LCC, that is me, along with our dear instructor Narmada, conducted our own chocolate making workshop yesterday. Oh, and we had so much fun.

We started out by introducing ourselves. Quite a talented bunch it was. Narmada then went about distributing the chocolate recipes and the types of chocolates we would be making.

Later, Narmada told us about the various types of raw materials that go into chocolate making. And after that  we started making chocolates!! yum.

The girls learnt about the molds, how to use them, how to melt and blend chocolates, how to make crackle chocolates, how to make liquid centered chocolates, and make heart shaped chocolates!! wow.

After a fantastic session of wows and oh my god! and how sweets!! we wrapped the chocolates and took them home.

Here is what our members who attended the session had to say:

"Session was good and very informative for beginners" - Anushya

"Chocolates were yummy and we are now very clear in the preperation process. Thanks for such a beautiful session" - Sharanya

"Had fun making different varieties of chocolates and knowing the techniques to make them!" - Sheethal.

If you would like to attend this workshop, please go to http://letscreatecrafts.com and register for any event. We would conduct the event as soon as there are 5 members asking for it.

We love you too!
" The beginner jewelry making workshop was really amazing. It was interactive and fun. Within a short duration we learnt about the tools, materials and basic skills of wire wrapping. The trainer not only explained how to do things easily, but also showed us different approaches. Within 2 hours were able to make ear rings and bracelets. Thanks a lot Jaya for such a wonderfull workshop. "

Bling Earrings

Went shopping yesterday to find these amazing little crystals. Couldnt help but take a whole lot of them. A quick tutorial on making earrings using these. You can find all supplies and more crafts on the website - http://letscreatecrafts.com

Tools you would need: A pair of nose pliers, wire cutters, crystals, earring hoops, 26 guage wire.

Start with wrapping the wire around the base of the hoop about two times.

Add a crystal like so, and wrap the wire around the hoop. Make sure they are all tight and snug. :)

Arrange the crystals with their holes facing sidewards and continue the process of beading till you reach the end.

At the end, wrap the wire around the hoop about twice and cut it. With you round nose pliers, push the edges inwards.

And your done! You have an earring. ^.^

This is how mine turned out to be.

And this is how they looked! Am going to go and show them to my husband. Ask him to take me shoppin again! Meanwhile if you've enjoyed this tutorial, please leave a comment below.

Flower on my finger!

Here is how I made this beautiful floral finger ring. All the supplies and tools are avaliable on our website http://letscreatecrafts.com, just drop me a mail! :)
Tools and supplies you would need: A pair of nose pliers and wire cutters, about 6-8inch of 20 guage wire, about 6-8 inches of 24-26 guage wire, a floral embelishment and a ring measuring tool, I've used a board marker here.

Rotate and clip the 20 guage wire around the board marker about three times.

Bend the ends inside using your round nose plier.

Repeat the same on the other side.

Take the 24 guage wire and make a L shaped hook. We will use this to tie the circles we just made together, so that our ring is closed.

Here is how the ring looked after I've wrapped the wire around it.

Slip the flower on the wire and wrap the remaining wire about 2 times on the ring.

Twirl the remaining wire into a spiral so that it just shows above / below our flower.

And here is the ring. Hope you've enjoyed the tutorial. Any questions, any suggestions, please feel free to comment below.
